Covid-19 Update

Our Commitment

We want to take a moment to thank our team members from the bottom of our hearts for their selfless dedication to our residents, families, and one another. This difficult time has tested our resilience, creativity, and commitment to our mission. Our teams have risen to meet each challenge and continue to inspire us with their perseverance.

To thank and care for them for their incredible service during this time, we have provided additional compensation and earning opportunities as well as extended Employee Assistance Programs offering counseling services through the end of the year at no cost to the team member. Ongoing, we offer paid time off and health benefits that many have, fortunately, been able to use for themselves and their families.

Working Together

We are living in extraordinary times and our team members are reinforcing our ongoing commitment to keep themselves and our residents as safe as possible. At this time we are asking that you do not visit our community. We are currently restricting all visits from family and friends with very narrow exceptions. We understand that family is incredibly important, and we want to make sure those connections continue. We can help facilitate family-resident connections through phone calls, texts, emails or videoconferencing such as Zoom™ or Facetime™. Thank you for helping us help one another stay healthy—it is greatly appreciated.

We also wanted to share an update of our continued efforts to keep our residents, team members, care partners and families safe and healthy during the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.

Taking Care of One Another

We are committed to keeping you informed on our precautions to ensure residents and team members are cared for in a safe and healthy environment. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has recommendations and prevention protocols that we have implemented to help reduce the potential of this virus entering our community including strict hand washing procedures, and in some circumstances, wearing gowns and gloves when interacting with residents who may be ill.

In addition, we are:

  • In close contact with the local and state health department and are following their guidance.
  • Posting signs on our entryway doors to notify visitors that only those essential to the well-being of our residents may enter includingHospice, Home Health, and other health care providers.
  • All essential visitors are required to wear personal protective equipment while in the community and may only interact with the resident they are seeing.
  • Requiring all of our team members wear face coverings when at work; residents are also encouraged to wear face masks when receiving direct care or when in a common area.
  • Practicing physical distancing at all times except when providing or receiving direct care.
  • Continually re-educating our team members on best infection control practices in managing daily tasks throughout our community – i.e., handwashing, increasing the frequency of disinfecting all surfaces, tools and utensils, with particular attention on high-touch surfaces such as handrails.
  • Screening team members daily, upon arrival for work and at the end of their shift, for COVID-19 symptoms and directing any affected individual to stay home.
  • Keeping signage current regarding infection control protocol throughout the community.
  • Increasing the level of monitoring of each resident's health status. We take temperature and oxygen levels three times per day.
  • Working with healthcare partners and providers to address unique care needs and monitoring.
  • Suspending regular communal dining for the time being; delivering some meals to resident rooms for those that choose that option and serving meals in groups no larger than five seated within physical distancing protocol of six feet recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
  • Encouraging opportunities for residents to connect with families through video and other digital technologies.
  • Postponing large group activities and outings.
  • Providing regular updates to residents and families.

Moving Forward

We believe in the health and wellness benefits of living in community; socially, physically, and emotionally. We are accepting new residents! It would be our pleasure to orchestrate a virtual tour and a virtual evaluation for anyone interested in joining our community. We are here to support any future resident with their needs and desires and will conduct all necessary screening to protect our current and future residents’ health and well-being. Contact us to schedule your virtual tour.

We have partnered with VIKOR Scientific Labs to be able to conduct COVID-19 testing prior to move-in. Read more about the Emergency Use Approved Thermo kit and this testing process.

With this rapidly changing situation, we are continually monitoring communications from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and state departments of public health adjusting our operations as appropriate and/or mandated.

If you are feeling ill and are unsure if you have COVID-19, please visit the CDC's "What To Do if You Are Sick" website.

Please feel free to email us with any questions, concerns or feedback. We will also update information on this page as it changes. Thank you for placing your trust in us to care for your loved one. We are here for your loved ones. We are here for you.
